THE SLOP REVOLUTION

These are the anti-AI slop pin-badges I'll be sending out with all the chatGPT Magic 8 Ball pre-orders very soon. Patches and stickers are on the way too.
If you'd like a badge by itself I've also made them available in my shop.
And if you're an artist or musician and want to protect your work against tech-bros ripping you off I recommend putting your work through anti-AI software before posting it online.
For visual art you can use Glaze and/or Nightshade from https://glaze.cs.uchicago.edu/
which confuses and poisons AI datasets. Although it can leave artefacts in the final image, as you can see in the second slide. I have put this through Glaze and it has added some weirdness to it. But if it makes the a tech-bastard's life more difficult, then its a small price to pay.
For music there are options such as the “adversarial noise” or Poisonify technique pioneered by Benn Jordan which loads the track with sounds that aren't noticeable to humans, but to an AI model its appears to be a completely different genre. According to Benn this “makes music not only untrainable but threatens to degrade the entire model”, just like Nightshade does for images.
Beyond the day-to-day practicality of these developments, there's just something very reassuring and inspiring about knowing that no matter what new nightmare tech-bros are trying to fling at us, someone out there is always working on the antidote.
