In 2025 the Hell Bus moved to the Greenpeace field in Glastonbury and incorporated a new Apocalypse Museum which I co-curated with Gavin Grindon. I worked with Gavin on the Museum of Neoliberalism since 2019. Full project page coming soon…
APARTHEID APARTMENTS
Apartheid Apartments first opened in Doncaster at Art Bomb UK, 60 Hall Gate. It was viewable 24 hours a day for over a month.
NIGER DELTA HELL BUS
Presenting the Niger Delta Hell Bus! A collaboration with Lekeh Development Foundation in support of Ogoni climate activists in the Niger Delta. I’m leaving Nigeria today so took a few photos for the road. There’s still things I want to add to the bus, a speaker system on the roof, ladders, and some sort of foldable stage would be great and it need a lot more sirens and lights (so it looks like a real Nigerian bus). Massive thanks to everyone who generously chipped into the crowdfunder to help make this version of the bus a reality, I’ve left the crowdfunder open until the end of the month to try and cover the bus’s running costs and also to fund a Hell t-shirt giveaway to activists out here since the shirts we printed for the march were so popular.

It’s then got an additional bonus trip to Leeds for Big Up Fest outside Tetley on the 4th-5th Nov while I’ll be back in Nigeria to try and make a version of the Hell Bus for the Niger Delta.
HELL BUS @ GLASTONBURY 2023
I’m still recovering from the installation of the Hell Bus crashing into a Hell petrol station at @shangrilaglasto this year. It was a couple of months work and all over in 5 days. Haven’t had a chance to pick through the photos and I’m still dealing with Hell Bus admin (my favourite) but here’s a couple of day and night photos to give you an idea what it was like.
HELL BUS @ GLASTONBURY
Glastonbury was absolutely incredible, thanks to everyone who called into the Hell Bus in Shangri-La. A massive thanks to everyone at Shangri-La for having me, and to my amazing Hell Bus hard party/work crew: @thetwopack, @kestra.laurent.dances.the.bug, @pineapple_king___ and @hannahslogic. It was hard to get any photos inside the bus when it was full as when it got full it was very full and the queue was out the door. I’d say around two thousand people crammed through this thing over 5 days altho I suspect more than that. The response was amazing and ran the gammut from “is this by Shell?” to “Its fucking boss that innit!” and “that was the most randomest thing ever” to “it’s an astonishing piece of work”. But overall it was super positive and I couldn’t have asked for a better crowd and a better reaction. All that work paid off and now we know it works and doesn’t fall apart when countless numbers of smashed people smash through it.
HELL BUS AT SHELL HQ
I brought the Hell Bus down to Shell HQ today with Joe Lycett. Parked it outside for almost an hour while the staff inside went into a self-imposed lockdown. The bus was being filmed for a new documentary Joe is making about Shell’s greenwashing PR, which will be out later this month. More details when I have them! The bus will be going to Glasgow for COP26 at the end of the month, and the exhibition inside is still under construction. I’m posting regular updates of my DIY nightmares over on my Instagram story.

MUSEUM OF NEOLIBERALISM
This weekend is the launch of a Museum of Neoliberalism I’ve co-curated with Gavin Grindon, at The World Transformed 2019 festival in Brighton. Tickets are still available, but if you can’t make it I’ll be posting photos next week. We also hope to show it elsewhere, including at WAR Gallery, and have been thinking about it as a starting point, and a sort of prototype for, The Thatcher Museum I was banging on about a few years ago. I’ll also be talking at the ‘Subvertising Symposium’ at The World Transformed on Sunday alongside Ad Block Bristol, Matt Bonner, Michelle Tylicki and Dog Section Press.

THE WORLD TRANSFORMED 2017
I made this installation for The World Transformed 2017, a politics and arts festival/conference held by Momentum and related groups at the same time as the Labour party conference. This year it is in Brighton and ends on Tuesday. More photos after the jump! After finishing the installation I ran into this guy in the street. I also had some of my other anti-Tory election work on display at Fabrica. This one I drew while on the Positive Propaganda artist residency. ROSKILDE FESTIVAL, DENMARK
Just two days after Glastonbury, Pocket Money Loans opened a new store at Roskilde Festival, Denmark, which has also unfortunately just had to close due to lack of child-customers interested in mindlessly expensive financial products. That said, it was a fantastic festival in a brilliant country. I can’t tell if I’m more tired from work, booze or laughing. Massive thanks to everyone who visited and especially those who helped run the shop and kept me on the verge of sanity especially David Matthew Jones, Gary Barber and Kirstie Fleck off of Is Tropical and her brother Tom Fleck. WAR
Last week I opened my studio/gallery/shop in Lewisham, south east London: WAR. I was primarily looking for a studio space and ended up finding this shop front, an old barbershop with a big front window in “the worst shopping centre in the country”, and figured I might as well do the front as a gallery and flog my comics while I’m at it. Then I realised I should get some other people who’s work I like so I started calling round and it’s now stocked with STRIKE! Magazine, Breakdown Press, Wobbly Rock and David Peter Kerr, with more to follow. Follow WAR on twitter / facebook

POCKET MONEY LOANS
Today I opened the Pocket Money Loans shop in Finsbury Park I’ve been working on for the last few months or a year or something I’m not sure. I’ll be sat behind the counter giving out child loans for the next two weeks, Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm. It’s at the new Atom Gallery, 77 Stroud Green Road, N4 3EG.
