DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING BILLIONAIRES TELL YOU ABOUT THE STRIKES

Just got sent this photo from the strike march today. I’m really so happy and honoured when my artwork is useful to people fighting on the front line for their rights, fair pay, and better working conditions 👏🏻 #SupportTheStrikes #PCSonstrike #TeacherStrike #FairPayforNursing
TURNING BUSINESS CLASS GREEN

I made this #BanFossilAds poster for the new Brandalism campaign about airline advertising alongside some great work by other artists. My poster focused on greenwashing and business class travel. More details here: http://brandalism.ch/projects/airlines-airports/
FREE THE PRESS – EXTINCTION REBELLION

I’m happy that Extinction Rebellion have used my ‘Don’t Believe Everything Billionaires Tell You’ image as part of a their #FreeThePress campaign. It’s an uphill struggle to convince the public of the urgency of the climate crisis with the media consolidated in the hands of handful of billionaires who’s interests are best served by our continued reliance on fossil fuels. Extinction Rebellion’s blockade of Rupert Murdoch’s printing presses last year was one of their most impressive and effective actions to date. Prints, t-shirts, stickers and postcards of the original artwork are available from my shop.
NEW T-SHIRTS

THE MARKET FINDS A WAY

SUNDAY TIMES EAT THE RICH LIST

There’s something weird about this year’s Sunday Times Rich List
BUSINESS HELL

Finally got round to taking a photo of my Hell™ print, which you can see close up here, or order a limited edition copy of it here. Work in Progress
OMNI-YACHT

The 26 richest individuals have hoarded more wealth than the poorest 3.5 billion people on the planet. When we talk about building a sustainable economy we usually mean environmental sustainability, but exponentially increasing inequality is also fundamentally unsustainable. “As I like to say to my American hedge fund friends, the Hamptons is not a defensible position. The Hamptons is a very rich area on Long Island that lie along low-lying beaches. Very hard to defend a low-lying beach. Eventually people will come for you.” – Mark Blyth

DISCARD AFTER SINGLE-USE

Here’s a surfboard I painted for Project 0‘s art auction to raise money for mangrove restoration in the Caribbean. You can bid here. Unfortunately I had to pull out of the launch exhibition for the auction as I only found out last minute the show was sponsored by Sky TV. I’m against all attempts at corporate greenwashing because it promotes the idea that consuming one brand over another can save the planet and that corporations care about these issues when they don’t. But its the involvement of Sky in particular which is really galling as the company is part-owned (and soon to be fully-owned) by Rupert Murdoch, who uses his TV channels and newspapers to push climate-change denial and anti-renewable energy propaganda worldwide.
BUSINESS HELL™

This took me a nauseating amount of time. A 1.4m long painting of businesspeople taking over Hell and running it for profit, part completed during my residency earlier this year at Positive Propaganda, Munich. This is available as a large limited edition print.

If you’d like this on your wall I’m doing this as a print to help fund my addiction to food. Also, this Saturday I’ll be at ELCAF with some comics on the Small Press Table. I’ll be pottering about trying not to spend my rent money and attempting to bump into living flesh-god Chris Ware, who designed all the delicious promo material which you can see on their website. Then on the 20th June I have work in an exhibition in Cardiff called Solve Et Coagula at The Alchemists Gallery, The Abacus, St. Davids House, Wood Street, Cardiff, CF10 1ER.
