Glastonbury (Shangri-La) 2017

For Glastonbury 2017 I opened a Shell greenwashing showroom down in Shangri-La, based on Shell's ridiculous Make the Future advertising campaign.
The Shell Climate Solutions Roadshow featured a host of methods oil and gas companies believe will save the word from oil and gas companies.
Rest assured, Shell are committed to using the past to #burnthefuture.

BRANDALISM SUBVERTISING CAMPAIGN
I designed some posters for this anti-fossil fuel greenwashing campaign in collaboration with Brandalism targeting Shell’s bullshit PR festival #makethefuture. Posters gone up in bus stops in London, Leeds, Bristol and Oxford. The other artists posters for this are brilliant too. 🛢🔥💀
CEASE AND DESIST FROM SHELL
After taking part in the Brandalism project above, I received a cease and desist from Shell's lawyers demanding I take any Shell or 'Hell' related merchandise down from my shop within 7 days. I got some free legal advice in which I was advised not to fight them, but first I decided to send a few sarcastic replies.
After that, they stopped replying.
I tried to contact them again but got no reply, so it looks like they backed off. You can still buy the anti-Shell merch in my online shop (see below)
Sarcasm is apparently a potent legal tool!
