Golf Cart One (2026) – my new sculpture at the Lucas Museum in LA. A life-sized, cast-aluminium, militarised presidential golf cart, commissioned by George Lucas and based on a 1:12 scale model version I made back in 2017.

I’m amazed that I got to do this, it has been such a surreal experience and I’m incredibly grateful to the team who organised, modelled, fabricated, painted, and placed this enormous piece of work.

This project was inspired by the fact that every US president since WWII, except Jimmy Carter, has played golf and started wars. As we enter the final phase of US Empire we can expect to see an increase in erratic violence from its globe-spanning, nuclear-armed military, directed by a succession of confused, geriatric and chauvinistic golfers in chief.
