WHOAH! now the long gestation period of preparing the SHITDISCO single for release is over. the record company now have it and it is in the bowels of production. it will be out in a shitstorm of rave reviews, handclaps and a grammy.
in the meantime you can listen to one of our favourite bands, clor. yes their debut album is currently scorching its way into the fickle membrane of pop culture. its out THIS WEEK. in time it will become this generation's defining moment when top of the pops got reasonable. as devo once said, THATS GOOD.
more news. we have recently been called upon to remake and re-model. what the hell i hear you say? well the story goes like this. the rakes have asked for the SHITDISCO treatment, whereby we all type one key at a time, pretend we know what we're doing and then press the GOOD button and hey presto, we have a remix. a tip-top-tap chart-topper. or, they don't like it and say fuck off we're not using this.
either way- SHITDISCO SAY YES
ejaculate with fear ye internet gig reviewers- the monkey has learned to use the typewriter. i will now be posting vicious personal attacks and possibly the names and addresses of anyone who dares to say anything less than sycophantic about my beloved shitdisco.
darren and me and folks just came back from glade festival down in england which was pure class bytheway. camoradorie and inebriation were shared by all, but particularly the close-knit community of buckfast drinkers- so much culture signified by a brand of tonic wine... many were enlightened.
Among much worthy music, was an afternoon of "wrong music"- based in brighton and fucking twisted. imagine the look of glee on our faces to be standing in a field in berkshire and hear seminal late 90's happy hardcore anthem "children of the night" being sonically raped by a gabba-fied theme tune from the bill.
We have finished our bit of the single, as it were, and the thing is now in the hands of fierce panda for mastering etc. included will be;
disco blood,
i know kung fu,
disco blood (clor remix),
kung fu (konx om pax remix), and
disco blood (errors remix).
there will most likely be a vinyl and a cd release, possibly with different tracks on each- i will post the release date of course, when we know it. hopefully within a few months. touch wood.
meanwhile, we will go about our business and fish patiently for some way of getting enough cashmoney to give this the time and energy otherwise being misdirected elsewhere. jesus, keane are professional musicians and the crotch is rotting out of my trousers... hear this record industry- employ my band or i will be selling pcp and crack at the gates of YOUR childrens' school. think of the future. we are the children of the night...
